Abs To Die For! Electrical Muscle Stimulators
Whatever the reason, a regular routine can go a long way to a longer, healthier life because it keeps all muscles in working order, including the heart. There are ways to supplement this when you are inactive. Electrical muscle stimulators provide one such way. Electrical muscle stimulators are everywhere. You may have seen one on a sports or fitness show, an infomercial, in a magazine or in a store. They usually take the form of a box with several dials, from which wires with electrode pads sprout. They are used over short periods of time, usually no longer than twenty minutes per area, to stimulate muscles and strengthen them whilst the individual rests. They work by sending small shock waves of varying intensity through muscle tissue so it contracts as if it was being used. It is not as effective as actually exercising but can be used as a top up, or to work neglected muscles. Most cannot be used on the face or neck though. However, they do work overall. |
